Total Break - The key (K) is found such that with D_K(C)=P
Global deduction - An alternate algorithm (A) is found where A=D_K(C) without knowing the value of K
Instance (local) deduction - The plaintext of a ciphertext is found.
Information deduction - New information about the key or the plaintext is gained.
