A drum corps, often confused with a marching band, is a group of musicians who perform music choreographed to movement on a football field. Drum corps include a horn line, a drum line, color guard and sometimes a pit. The pit includes timpani, marimba, and some other instruments which are stationary. Junior and senior corps compete against each other, while alumni corps do it just for fun.
