A fan club is also a limited edition single or EP that's distributed exclusively through a singer or band's fan club. In the past this often was a paper vinyl (a record stamped onto a paper-thin piece of plastic) stapled into a magazine. Now, I suppose, fan club singles are all on CD. Fan clubs usually feature special unreleased or live tracks.
