| cigarette jingles This was for Winston cigarettes, and was an extension of their older campaign. The old jingle was "Winston tastes good, like a cigarette should". The later twist would have someone pointing out the grammatical flaw - "...as a cigarette should", my kind fellow. Then you'd have the big production number, horns blaring, Vegasy charm. "Whaddya want?" (boom, boom) "Good grammar, or good taste?" Etcetera. Funny how there was never a Golden Age of commercials. |
