Available in a variety of colors, styles and thicknesses, interlocking bricks can be used instead of asphalt or concrete to pave driveways, sidewalks and even streets. They are often laid in a herringbone pattern, or other interlocking way.

Vulnerable to acid rain, to uneven heaving in winter due to ice, to oil stains and a variety of other ills. But still people pay big bucks for them. Maybe in Texas it's OK, but in Canada for goodness' sake use asphalt!

There's a nifty variation up here where the construction guys pour red colored concrete and then smooth it and press a brick-like pattern into the surface. Same fancy-ass look, but no loose bricks.
