kaki is a beautiful word, with many different meanings.
It is the Italian spelling of khaki. It means flower container in the context of ikebana.
In many languages kaki means persimmon; in fact the kaki persimmon is a specific variety of persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.: contrast with the American persimmon).
