The term "online game", when used by oldschoolers, refers to sequential (non-simultaneous) multiplayer or single-player games played over a BBS, an echomail network or locally. Some of the most famous online games (or "door games" as they were sometimes called) are TradeWars 2002, Legend of the Red Dragon, The Pit, and Operation: Overkill 2.
