Post-gay is a very loosely defined "movement" among people with distinctive gender and/or sexual preferences. Post-gay goals are multitudinous: mild goals include reduction of the importance of one's sexuality in identity definition. Stronger statements tout the complete elimination of the correlation between gender and sex. For example, the masculine gender would be decoupled from the male sex, so a male would be free to choose feminine or masculine identities. All of the ideas have the common theme of blurring the boundaries between gender, sex, and sexual preference. They are a backlash against the traditional and conservative gay community, which is largely controlled by Rich White Men.
