Personality tests are psychological tools used to measure typical behaviour of the subject. In contrast to structured personality tests, projective tests provide an ambiguous test stimulus, therefore response requirements are unclear. It is assumed that a person's interpretation of an ambiguous stimulus reflects his or her unique traits. Rorschach test is a common example of a projective personality test.
