Ser"aph (?), n.; pl. E. Seraphs (#), Heb. Seraphim (#). [Heb. seraphim, pl.] One of an order of celestial beings, each having three pairs of wings. In ecclesiastical art and in poetry, a seraph is represented as one of a class of angels.
