| Round about these here parts, we gits some mighty big skeeters. They tends to be the size of a gator and about twice as ornery. In the summer time, folks round here gots ta make sure they don't let the young 'uns outside, or the skeeters'll carry 'em off. I remember when I was just a little sprout, mah pappy got stuck outdoors during skeeter season with nowheres to go--he lost almost 50 pounds before the skeeter hunters found him. He's still got the head of the one what bit him up on the mantle. |
