Spin"na*ker Pol, n. Naut.

A horizontal spar used on a sailboat in conjunction with a downhaul, sheet and guys to position the lower, windward corner (tack) of a spinnaker. Some boats fly an asymmetric spinnaker which does not require the use of a pole.
