The following is a list (most likely incomplete) of all the Microsoft Windows undocumented features I can think of. Note that some of these do not work in particular versions of Windows (most likely anything running the NT kernel).

- Go to Start, Run, and type in "WINFILE" and press Enter. This will run the Windows 3.x style File Manager.
- Press Shift+Del with a folder or file highlighted to delete a file without sending it to the Recycle Bin.
- Press the F2 key with a folder or file highlighted to rename it.
- Ctrl+Esc performs the same function as pressing the Windows Key (Note: this carries a different ASCII Code).
- Press F5 to refresh a window with files or a website.
- With a file or folder highlighted, hold Alt and doubleclick the file/folder to view its properties.
- To expand all subfolders in Explorer, click on the folder name and press the asterick (*).
- To move files or folders, hold Shift when dragging them from one location to another (not pressing this simply copies them).
- To select more than one file/folder, hold Ctrl and click on each additional selection.
- Similarly, you may press and hold Shift to select a block of files and fodlers.
- Holding Alt and pressing Tab repeatedly will cycle you through the active windowed programs that are currently running. - For Windows Key operations, also see What your keyboard's "Windows keys" do in Windows.

Y'know, if you log in, you can write something here, or contact authors directly on the site. Create a New User if you don't already have an account.
