Left Japan in the 1960s when the Soto Zen Church would not accept his full Transmission of Myoshin Ekaku, a nun as a Dharma-heir because she was a woman. Travelled in Europe. In the late 1960s went to Canada and established a small Zen monastery, Hakukaze-ji. There he gave Transmission to Anzan Hoshin who continues his Lineage.
