Russian publicist, associated with the Slavophile Movement. Born 1817, died 1860. Son of Sergei Timofeievich Aksakov.

In his thesis on Lomonosov (1846), Aksakov attempted to combine the idea of the Russian peasant's religious and historical mission with Hegel's philosophy. Later, Akasakov abandoned Hegel and became radically anti-European.
