Once a first-, second-, or third-party Nintendo video game sells one million copies, traditionally the game is re-released in a shiny new package (often featuring the color gold) and is reduced in price by $20.00 to $30.00 for home console games and $10.00 for portable games. This policy is an excellent incentive to pick up games you may have passed on initially. Nintendo Power magazine also often publishes a few pages of mini-coverage to mark the re-release as well. In some cases Nintendo will also re-release a game's Player's Guide at the same time.

Nintendo Player's Choice Titles 1

1 I feel this list may be incomplete as the Nintendo website only lists re-releases from 1998 and beyond. Please /msg me with additions if you know of any (particularly for the Game Boy and Super NES).
