What is Paypal?

Paypal is, among many things, a Credit Card Merchant. Paypal will take your credit card information, securely, process it, and send Blockstackers the correct amount for your merchandise.

How does Paypal work?

After clicking on the link in Donation Box, either:
Log into your account
Create a new account

Fill in the information (the recipient is filled in for you), including any messages and an amount. No amount is too small! Select Send Money and the amount you entered will transfer from your Paypal, bank or credit card account.

If I don't already have an account, do I have to sign up?

Yes, but it's simple, safe, and FREE.

If I sign up, what kind of information do I have to give Paypal?

If you sign up you will need to disclose:
    Credit Card Information, including
  • Name
  • Card Type - Number - Expiration Date
  • Address/State/Zip
  • Telephone
  • Email Address (Which will be your User-Name)
  • A Password for your Email Address

How much of that information do they give Everything2?

To confirm the sale, Paypal will send Blockstackers (the group that runs Everything2) your Name, Snail Address, and Email Address. The rest will remain undisclosed for your security.

If I sign up for a paypal account are there any fees? Or is it truly FREE?

Truly FREE. Sending money at Paypal is always FREE. There are no transaction fees, service charges, or monthly fees.

If I already have a paypal account, do I have to sign up for a new one?

No.

If I sign up for a paypal account, am I going to get spam mail?

No. Paypal only sends emails after transactions or account changes are made.

I'm confused. They keep asking me to sign up for a "Business Account" or a "Premier Account." So, what account should I sign up for?

Most users are going to want to sign up for the "Personal Account." If you would like more information about which account to choose please visit http://www.paypal.com and select Premiere or Business Account for information concerning upgrading your account.
