• In what is now Iran's neighborhood, the Ilkhanid Dynasty ended after with the death of Abu Sa'id without successor.
• Sweden abolished slavery--hundreds of years before the land of the free even came into being.
• The first Congress of Visegrad resulted in Poland, Hungary, and Luxemburg allying against Habsburg. Later the same year, the convention of Trencin leads to a further alliance of Poland and Hungary against the Bohemians and the Habsburgs.
• Louis of Bavaria gave the Duchy of Carinthia to the dukes of Austria, leading to joint rule of Slovenia by Austria and Habsburg until 1918.
• Pope Benedict XII began to reform the Cistercians (of which he was one).
• Frederick III of Sicily was unexcommunicated and Sicily was uninterdicted.
• The 29-year consturction of Palais des Papes (the papal palace in Avignon) began.
• The Battle of Boroughmuir was fought on July 30 on the way to invade Scotland.
• The Battle of Culblean was fought November 30 during the Second Scottish War of Independence (Scots won).
