Oops, an empty node ? OK... I'll fill it myself.
After
Dennis Stratton, Adrian Smith has been playing the 2nd
lead guitar with
Iron Maiden between
October 1980 and
January 1990.
He was an old
friend of
Dave Murray, the other band's
guitarist with whom he previously played in their
school band :
Evil Ways, between
1972 and
1974.
His last recording with Iron Maiden is the "Infinite Dreams" EP, which was
recorded
live on the
Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son World Tour.
He then "gave" them the
song "Hooks In You" which appeared in the "
No Prayer for The Dying".
Before leaving Iron Maiden, he founded the band A.S.A.P. (Adrian Smith And Project) in which appeared
Zak Starkey, the son of
Ringo Starr) on
drums. They released the "Silver and Gold" LP in
1989 as well as another EP. They then changed their name to the
Untouchables.
Adrian went back to play with Iron Maiden in
1999 and is still playing with them.
