Adventure Game Studio (previously Adventure Creator) is a fantastic swapware game maker created by the strangely ego-less Chris Jones (not the Tex Murphy guy), which enables the user to create Sierra/Lucasarts style point & click adventure games.

AGS has a very large and friendly community, who have been responsible for an insanely large amount of games, many of which are above commercial quality in terms of plot, gameplay and/or graphics.
