The hotspot of recreation in South Central Kentucky (loacted near Bowling Green), Barren River Lake is a flood control lake operated by the Army Corps of Engineers. The lake is surrounded by new subdivisions and also has a state park. A great place to visit, and a lot of people live there too. Good fishing, swimming, and general outdoors fun.
