Bitter Apple is a pet training aid. It's essentially a non-toxic fluid that leaves an extremely bad-tasting but harmless residue. It is used to train pets (dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, whatever) that the object to which it has been applied isn't to be eaten or chewed. It can be found in your local pet supply store, or in the pet department of a major supermarket.
