Short for Budgerigar. A small, colorful bird from Australia often kept as pets. Americans know these as "Parakeets". Can be taught to repeat words, play with marbles, and bash their tiny little brains out on a silvery bell that you put in their cage. They eat millet seed, cuttlefish bones, lettuce and fingers.
