Commonly used to refer to the three world famous innovators of electronic music and specifically of Detroit techno: Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Juan Atkins. also referred to as the 'Belleville three' after the city that they grew up in before they moved to Detroit.

One of the few to stand up to the Big Three automotive manufacturers. They used technology to bring people together, instead of dividing them. If you don't know what I mean, go to a party in a crumbling Detroit warehouse that used to be used to produce parts for cars, if the chance ever arises.

If it weren't for them, and others of course, the word techno would be quite a negative word indeed.
