Baseball park; home to the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1913 until they left for Los Angeles, California in 1957.

Ebbets Field is probably more known for the teams that played there and the events that occurred there than anything particular about the ballpark.

Named for Charles Ebbets, owner of the Dodgers when the park was built. Located in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn on top of a garbage dump called Pigtown.

The site of Jackie Robinson's first major league game in 1947, and of the first televised baseball game in 1939. Also home of the "Hit Sign, Win Suit" billboard (on the outfield wall).

Ebbets Field was demolished in 1960; Ebbets Field Apartments currently occupies the site.
