Israeli cryptographer best known as co-discoverer (with Adi Shamir) of differential cryptanalysis. Other notable research includes the block cipher Serpent and the hash function Tiger. He is presently (2001) faculty at the Computer Science Department of the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), and does research in cryptography, cryptanalysis, quantum cryptography, and quantum computation.
