For My Love, This All Hallow's Eve

A Halloween masquerade under a full lit moon
shining down upon your hair, reflecting in your eyes
a bonfire flares within my heart, consuming me with fire
we dance together around the square, I and my heart's desire

A golden mask she wears this night, seeking to be free
of chains that chafe and bind our love, chains we must unmake
lovers now, we take a vow, that our love shall not die
and on this night she will be mine, together we will lie

Upon a bed of grass and leaves, beneath an oak's wide arms
and let the stars witness this night, our bodies close entwined
I'll lift your mask, your love I'll ask, and mine I'll freely give
from this day, and forever more, as long as we both shall live
