Battle cry of those opposed to the imprisonment and human rights violations of Pennsylvania State inmate Mumia Abu-Jamal, currently on death row for the murder of police officer William Faulkner. Rage Against The Machine and several other celebrities have publicly pledged their support in the past, but the cool political factor of Abu-Jamal seems to be fading. This is reminiscent of the drama surrounding Ruben "The Hurricane" Carter, who was supported by Bob Dylan and countless others for a brief period of time during the 1970's. His plight was eventually forgotten by the public, and his release from prison was by his own accord. The case of Mumia Abu-Jamal seems to be following approximately the same course. FREE MUMIA!
