American club open to anyone interested in highpointing: reaching the highest point of each of the 50 United States. The club has a quarterly newsletter, Apex to Zenith, t-shirts and completion pins, annual conventions, and is working toward the establishment of a National Highpoint Museum on the flank of Tauk Saum, Missouri. The club was formed by Jakk Longacre who placed a small notice in Outside Magazine in 1986 asking to hear from other people who were interested in visiting the highest points of each of the states.
