So it's final. You've tried the many alternatives to breaking up a relationship, but they don't work. Your significant other is no longer important to you as all efforts have been exhausted. The Move-out.

You need these attributes: stealth, cunning, ability to drive, strength to move your stuff.

A new place
You have decided to move out and to find another place that will be within your own budget, comparable to the rent you are paying now. No more luxurious one bedroom units for you (unless you can afford it). A bachelor apartment will have to do. You'll need to search the classifieds for affordable yet acceptable accomodations. Also try searching the internet for rental listings. You might also want to consider staying at a hotel before you've settled on a place to stay.

Transportation
You will also need an automobile (if you don't already have one), or at least rent a car so that you can move yourself and your things. A hatchback or a wagon is ideal, more so than a gas-guzzling minivan.

Your stuff
Plan what you are going to take with you. What is most important to you, if anything? What can fit in your car? What are you able to carry? Remember that you want to make this move as swift as possible without much notice. Plan it so that he/she is not there when you move. Also plan the amount of stuff you are able to carry according to if anyone is helping you. Larger things like furniture will have to be left in the unit (unless you have room), so say good-bye to them.

Cellular phone
You will need a cellular phone if you are to call for places to stay if you already don't have one. Don't settle for "cheap" service either, as this will be your lifeline until you get a land-line.

The time constraint
All of this can be accomplished within a day, depending on what you already have or not. Moving shouldn't take more than two hours. If it does, then it's not a swift move. Take more time to plan than to execute, and everything will operate smoothly. The objective here is to achieve self-sufficiency as quickly as possible.
