A machine that a person could climb in, or strap on so that their movements will be augmented. Various designs have been considered by sci-fi authors so that the user can run and jump faster and farther. Some desire exoskeletons so that they can lift extremely heavy objects with little effort. DARPA is conducting investigations into the feasability of implementation.
