(lat.: Megaceros hibernicus)

This animal was up to 2,5 meters long, 1,5 meters tall at the shoulders, and span 3,6 meters between the edges of the horn, which could weigh as much as 40 kilograms. Only the males had horns, which they shed once a year. They lived in open fields and became extinct after the last ice-age. The reason is obvious: They need the open fields, because they can't move in the forest.
