The Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad, long a legend to Railfans. It was renoun for the aniquated Rolling stock, using turn of the century technology into the 1950's. It ran from baltimore, Maryland, to York, Pa. As it was peiced together from two narrow gauge rural raillines, the 'Ma and Pa' took a very lazy route through the middle of what is now Towson State University, through harford county, and then taking a 90 degree turn at the Sesquahana River. The Maryland Section was abandoned in 1958, w/ the Pennslyvania section going to weeds in 1986. The company is still in existance, operating on a section of track from York to Hanover, Pa.
