The Hungarians call themselves Magyars, since the Magyars are not Huns. There were two migration from the east. The first was the Huns', lead by the famous Attila, and the second was the Magyars', lead by the famous Seven Leaders. "Hun" and "Magyar" are related, but not the same.

The word "Magyarország" is a composite of two words, "Magyar" and "Ország". The second word means "Land". The first word signs whose "Land" it is.
