Mount Tabor is not actually a mountain. It is the caldera of an active volcano. Right in the middle of Portland, Oregon. Someone thought it would be a great idea to lay concrete in the middle of a volcano and put a basketball court there. How odd.

That said, the park that is on and around Mount Tabor is truly beautiful, and the views of the city are breath taking. Just a 5 minute drive out of down town and you can be in the middle of tall trees and clear air. It is really a wonderful place.

I just hope the volcano doesn't erupt.
