| The current incarnation of Dave Pajo's band which has changed it's name every couple releases. The group began as M, then went to M is the thirteenth letter, then Aerial M, now it is Papa M. Dave Pajo was a member of the seminal rock group, Slint, and went on to work with other groups such as Palace, The For Carnation, Royal Trux, King Kong, Tortoise, and Stereolab.
While being a little more straightforward than Tortoise, Papa M is easy to day dream to. Most of the songs have this sweet feeling to them similar to The Sea And Cake, but there is a subtle anxiety in the background. Really great stuff recommended for fans of Tortoise and The For Carnation.
