The Piccadilly Line is one of the longest on the London Underground, extending from Cockfosters in the north-east to Uxbridge in the north-west and Heathrow Airport's two stations in the south-west, passing through central London and the eponymous Piccadilly Circus on the way. A now-closed branch ran from Holborn to Aldwych, formerly Strand station, close to the site of present-day Temple and in a building owned by King's College, London. On a standard tube map, the Piccadilly Line is dark blue. On the map below, north-east is at the top.
