A type of piercing, though pretty uncommon, which involves jewelry (usually of surgical steel), being worn on the outside of the body. I have only seen this done with metal bars. The bars are held in by a piercer-created fold of skin, (the "pocket"). In a way, it almost looks like some kind of alien body armor. Very cool, indeed.
