Put the horns on

1. To cheat. 2. To jinx; to give one bad luck.

- american underworld dictionary - 1950

In much of Europe, this expression means to cheat on one's lover. There is a hand expression to go with it: Turn your palm towards the target, give the victory sign with the second and third fingers, and curl the fingers in the 'horns'.
