A company that produces mpeg/DVD decoder cards for home computers, including the Hollywood Plus/DXR3. Sigma has come under some flak for refusing to release Linux drivers for the H+ (citing contractual and other DVD issues) and, opting instead to create a new card with a new chipset, the Netstream 2000. Unfortunately, this card is meant for commercial-level network, streaming video, and kiosk applications, not for the end user, and as a result reportedly costs between $200 and $300.
