| Otherwise known as Chairman Kaga from the popular Japanese TV show Iron Chef.
Kaga is the chairman of the Gourmet Academy. He is a wealthy eccentric who, having accomplished everything he had wanted to in his life, set out to find the ultimate in gourmet cuisine. He appointed the top chefs in four cuisines -- (Japanese, Chinese, French and Italian) as Iron Chefs and used his fortune to create the Kitchen Stadium, where challengers are pitched against the Iron Chefs in a battle for the most creative and delicious dishes.
In reality, Takeshi Kaga is only an actor, and the only actor on the show. He has appeared in such roles as Jean Valjean in Japan's production of Les Miserables. He was also the first Japanese Tony in West Side Story and Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar. |
