If you're any sort of a Bowie fan, this is a wonderful way piece to listen to; When his voice comes in on the line "..It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about..", it just makes my knees turn to jelly -- David Bowie and Barry White ought to get together and compare notes. It's a pity that Dave and Queen didn't do more work together.
Anyway, I first heard this piece when going through some of my fathers old LP's.. I liked Queen as much as the next person, but didn't know much about them at the time, and when the needle hit this track, my eyes snapped open violently and the faint words "Vanilla Ice?!" escaped my lips.
After you listen to 'Under Pressure', you'll relize that the tune (and probably more) was coppied, rather blatantly, by Mr. Ice (or, to be fair, whomever it was who composed the song). Queen got little recognition for their work, whilst Vanilla Ice took the tune, pulled a 'Puff Daddy' on it and made millions -- however, a "behind-closed-doors" settlement made sure that Queen got at least some monetary remuneration from it all.
