Vern is also Virtual Environment Resource Navigator, a shareware
virtual desktop utility from
One Guy Coding. Along with
Tera Term Pro,
it's the only thing keeping me from abandoning
Windows NT entirely.
It's available at http://www.oneguycoding.com/vern/. It supports
multiple monitors, is
skinnable, and dozens of virtual desktops.
Probably not the only thing for NT that does this, but certainly the
prettiest way of doing it. It also lets me use my
mouse even less
than before, since the hotkeys for window switching are easier to use
with 30+ windows than ALT-TAB and the other default
task switching keys.
All told, it's one of the only Windows apps written by a guy with the
right idea about Windows apps.
