| My family has a strange tradition involving birthday cakes and curses. See, in my family, one is not allowed to say the word "shit" until his/her 18th birthday. Don't ask why. I don't know. On the day of his/her 18th birthday (or the weekend afterwards), the usual silly family b-day party is held. Everything is normal up until the cake is served, where in big letters "SHIT!" has been written on it. Then after s/he blows out the candles, they get to scream "shit!!!!" at the top of their lungs.
The same thing goes for the 21st b-day, only with the word fuck. My family is demented. Imagine the look of shock on my friends' faces when my grandmother pats me on the back and hugs me after I've just screamed shit outloud for the whole neighborhood to hear.
God, my family is weird. I fit right in.
