Clean guitar is the
sound of an
electric guitar whose
natural harmonics are preserved, so that the amplified signal sounds relatively similar to the
acoustic sound of the
instrument.
In other words, the electric signal has not been distorted through overdriving the amplifier or passing the signal through a distortion stomp box or preamplifier.
