Closely related to the deep fried Mars bar: a Cadbury's Creme Egg, in batter, deep fried. Optionally served with chips, salt and vinegar. An unfortunate product of Scotland's skills at engineering and artery-clogging junk food.

The creme egg won't melt because the batter is thick enough, and you fry it quickly at high heat so the outside cooks before the inside heats up significantly.

This is also the idea behind deep fried ice cream.
