Dragon Ash is the name of a recently popular Japanese band. They have been compared to the Beastie Boys because of their punk rock roots and recent forays into hip-hop. They are one of a very few Japanese groups whose rap sounds cool rather than silly.

Dragon ash has four members.

• Vocals and Guitar: Kenji Furuya
• DJ: DJ Bots
• Drums: Makoto Sakurai
• Bass: Izuko Baba

In addition to his work with Dragon Ash, Kenji Furuya has been a guest rapper for many other J-pop groups. A recent single, "Deep Impact", featured the rapping duo Rappagariya as guest musicians and was remixed by turntablist extraordinaire, DJ Krush.
