| The design of buildings is reserved for architects, but the everything else around us is done by industrial designers. From the shape of a toothbrush to the stylizing of a car, they do it all! As with any profession, there are "good guys" and "bad guys". The bad guys partake in such sins as planned obsolescence and styling for no reason (such as those aerodynamic toasters). The good guys focus on design for disassembly and try use materials that will have less impact on the environment. |
