update, January 14, 2008: Don't worry about me, right now. I found you-know-who yesterday and

he's alive and well and we talked

on the phone and then by message.

After 11 years!

Life is great, even when big stretches of it suck. Much better than the alternative.

update, August 2008: yeah, uh... that reunion wasn't to last. But he sounded like he was getting a good start in life last time I talked to him. I tried to let him know I'd be there if he needed me. That's the best I can do, and I'm getting on with life.
