The legal purchasing age is that age at which one can legally purchase alcoholic beverages in a specific region.

Occasionally the legal purchasing age and the legal drinking age differ. Often the legal purchasing age varies depending on alcohol content (beer/wine/spirits) and whether or not one is accompanied by an adult.
